Position: Technical Sales Engineer

Territory: Wisconsin, Minnesota

Reporting to: VP Sales and Marketing

Organization: Circonix Technologies

Position Location: Upper Midwest/Midwest

Compensation: Base plus Commission

Job Function:

Perform technical sales, project identification and specification activities for customers regionally located in the Wisconsin and Minnesota, specifically in the paper, film and foil, web handling and converting industries. Activities include the sales and project specification for drives and automation solutions, OEM equipment sales, service programs and associated engineering and installation services. Develop ongoing customer relationship and ongoing business development.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

To Support Marketing and Sales Strategic Initiatives

Actively promote Circonix Technologies and sister companies. (Fulton Machinery and CXSystems)
Identify and actively pursue opportunities related to core markets, including leads through referrals, active customer base, cold calling and trade shows.
Actively promote Circonix Technologies and sister companies specific product offerings including but not limited to ExtrusionPRO®, PowerPlant™, SplicePRO™ and Sentry Services.
Upon isolating a specific opportunity, develop/secure engineering specifications for quotation purposes
Develop and create proposals for customers
Support and attend trade shows and support key marketing activities
Perform machine and equipment walk throughs in an effort to determine customer specific needs
Maintain account relationships and act as primary commercial liaison throughout projects.

Position: Controls Service Engineer

Reporting to: Software Engineering Manager

Organization: Circonix Technologies

Position Location: Ringwood, NJ

Job Function:

Provide customer on-site installation, repair and training service with a focus on Circonix Technologies engineered industrial control systems
Perform repair and reconditioning work on warranty and returned discrete components
Provide on-line technical/ application support for customers and sales force

Primary Duties:

Provide on site startup, commissioning and field service activities
Provide on-line technical/application support for customers and sales force
Provide specification and project assistance for Circonix Technologies Engineered systems
Support the creation of technical product documentation and information
Maintain field service and training schedule and log activity
Programming / Debug of PLC/HMI code

Professional Experience:

Experience with technical support, documentation and standards
Previous field service responsibility with overnight travel
Previous experience with PLC’s, Drive systems and Supervisory control systems
Understanding of industrial controls networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, Profibius etc.)
Web handling and converting equipment experience preferred, but not a requirement

Minimum of 2 years experience with PLC and/or Drives

Personal Skills:

Strong people skills; ability to work well with others and manage a customer
Strong technical aptitude and good analytical skills; organized and detail-oriented
Self-starter, willing to work through and seek answers to ongoing new requirements
Strong self discipline
Experience with the following computer related skills:
- Windows /2000/NT/XP, Word, Excel
Industrial Programming Software such as:
- Ladder Logic
- Control Block Diagramming
- HMI configuration software
- Drives interface/programming software
Good verbal and written skills

Education:

BSEE or MSEE with Controls Background
Minimum 2-year technology degree
